Fit for Life, Go for Taiji.
More than just a series of movements from the east, Taijiquan is a living connection between body and soul, history and the present.
On Saturday, March 21st, the Austrian Wushu Federation (AWF), Taiji Studio Bai, and Chuanmener Sino-World Cultural Exchange Association invite you to witness a community gathering at the MuseumsQuartier, Vienna. We come together to honor UNESCO’s recognition of Taijiquan as a global treasure—not as spectators, but as a collective community breathing as one.
The Gathering
When: Saturday, March 21, 2026 | 11:00 – 12:00
Where: MuseumsQuartier (MQ), Vienna
The Theme: “BREATH. MOVE. BALANCE. – Seeking Central Equilibrium”
Event Highlights
Experience the power of “Zhong Ding” (Central Equilibrium) through a series of soul-stirring performances and shared practice:
200 Hearts, One Rhythm: Witness the profound energy of over 200 taijiquan practitioners—from passionate beginners to Austrian national team athletes — performing the 24-Form Tai Chi in perfect unison.
The Legacy of Masters: A journey through the Five Major Taijiquan Styles (Chen, Yang, Wu, Wu/Hao, and Sun), showcasing the diverse beauty of this ancient lineage.
Where Ancient Sound Meets Stillness: The ethereal, ancient notes of the Guqin (Chinese zither) will resonate through the courtyard, creating a meditative soundscape for the flowing movements.
Expand the Circle: A moment for us to connect. We invite the public to step into the basic flow called Lǎn Què Wěi (literally translated, it means ‘stroking the bird’s tail’ . It is an exercise full of harmony and ease – a perfect, low-threshold introduction for everyone!
A Shared Vision for Heritage.
